Welcome to Spring Semester 2010 everyone! We’re really looking forward to a full semester of awesome Tech tAUk episodes. This will be the semester where our show gradually goes from being the new start-up show in ATV’s lineup to becoming the full-fledged, cutting-edge show that we envision Tech tAUk becoming. We’ll be filming our first episode of Spring tomorrow, and it’s sure to be a very interesting episode as we recap the mountain of tech news that broke over Winter Break (think: Nexus One…).
We’ve got a number of ideas and goals that we’ll be rolling out over the course of the semester, but here’s a few tidbits to share now. Tech tAUk will be filming weekly this semester, and our goal is to have new episodes premiering on air (and on the online stream) on Tuesday evenings, with the podcast version released on our blog on Wednesday evenings. And speaking of our blog, we’re actually going to start taking full advantage of our blog by contributing posts (like this one) with additional thoughts and comments on the tech news of the day.
Also keep an eye out for Tech tAUk to start looking spiffier. We’re going to be getting a logo and have an actual opening title sequence by the end of the month, maybe even in time for our episode coming out next week. We’re also working with ATV’s new Productions Department to put together a set design for our show, along with some nifty animated graphics to really make our show stand out among ATV’s lineup.
But until our first episode comes out, check out this awesome web comic: “Why I Believe Printers Were Sent From Hell To Make Us Miserable”. All of us can recognize at least one–if not all–of the symptoms mentioned in that comic having affected us at some time or another. Maybe instead of worrying about 3-D television sets, someone should figure out how to make a printer that actually works without ripping people off. But ah well..
Thanks for sticking with Tech tAUk! We’re looking forward to informing and entertaining you this semester. 🙂
