Because this is politics, it was only a matter of time before the other side got involved in this silly, irrelevant nonsense.
That’s right, the Democrats have capitalized on the demon sheep media market to produce their own ridiculously stupid video.
Now comes “Demon Sheep II: The Fleecing of California,” a Web video produced by the Democratic Party of California and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and unleashed on the public — or, at least, the political insiders who follow this stuff — through the site DemonSheepMovie.com.
The new spot turns the already confusing plot of the Fiorina ad on its head and presents Fiorina as a red-eyed ewe with flowers on her head taking private jets and shearing Californians, who are also presented as sheep.
Rated X as “not suitable for most California audiences,” the spot takes on Campbell and conservative GOP candidate Chuck DeVore, as well.
So let me see if I’m understanding this correctly. First Carly Fiorina accuses Tom Campbell of being a demon sheep (otherwise known as a Fiscal Conservative in Name Only). Then Chuck DeVore, the third Republican running in the primary, and the most conservative of the three, accused both Campbell AND Fiorina of being demon sheep.
But now the Democrats are saying they’re ALL demon sheep. But wait. I thought the purpose of being a demon sheep was that you were a wolf in sheep’s clothing. As in, the sheep are conservatives and the demon sheep is a fake conservative. Since when does the Democratic party have the authority to say who’s a real conservative?
Or are they implying that being a demon sheep means you’re not interested in serving the people? That you’re a horrible wolf disguised as a compassionate sheep?
My brain hurts.
Okay, you know what? Can we just get rid of the demon sheep already? This kind of political sniping is baaaaaaaaad for our political culture.
